In 2021 about 56 million US adults experienced chronic pains. 17 million experienced high-impact chronic pains. The pandemic has contributed to significant new cases. We are starting a series to understand what pain is, the anatomy, physiology, pathology, and management aspects will be covered in this mini-series on pain. Let's start with pain, pain transduction, pain pathways, and pain modulation in this talk.
